15th - 18th June 2016 Lady Edith Falls. WOW another gem. We only planned  to stay two nights but added another night. Lady Edith Falls is in the same National Park as Katherine Gorge - Nitmiluk National Park. It was a leisurely 50 klm drive with a short stop in Katherine to replenlish the mozzie coils. A neccessity every evening at sunset. Got the camp all set up, looked up across the grass and who should be walking towards us? The Devaneys!!! We had no idea they would be here. Lots of pointing and laughing and "bullshit" Fun fun fun!!! The falls have a huge waterhole. The water here is mostly spring fed, with some water that seeps through the rock from wetlands. Phenomenal amount of water. And perfect for swimming! The lower waterfall and waterhole. There are more up above this waterfall. Hours spent floating around in the noodle chair. 11th June - 15th June 2016 ELLIOTT Stopped to top up the water tanks with fresh town water in Elliott before hitting the highway again. Man.....thousands of bats. Have never seen so many! DALY WATERS Nice short drive up the road to Daly Waters Pub. We called in here last trip for breakfast and were so impressed with the food it had to be another stop. This time we camped the night next to the pub with Deb and Harry. The campground nothing to write home about, but it was OK for a one nighter. At least the showers were nice and clean!!! This is an iconic outback pub. So much character. The thong tree! All set up for a big night of entertainment. First up a bit of country and western! He was actually very entertaining. Deb and I getting into the swing of things!!! A few drinks at the ready. Gotta take advantage of happy hour prices 😜😜😜. We had an absolutely fabulous night. Food was amazing.
